Rescue goat Polly finds relief from her anxiety through dressing in a child’s duck costume.
Polly suffers from anxiety, neurological issues and is partially blind. Life isn’t easy for the six month old.
That is, until her rescuer Leanne Lauricella, who runs the Goats of Anarchy rescue group decided to dress her in a duck costume.
“As soon as I put it on her, she just instantly got calm,” Lauricella said. “There’s something about that duck costume that calms her. She goes into a little trance. She just closes her eyes and she’s out.”
This adorable goat in her duck costume has gone viral, with Lauricella saying she regularly receives messages from fans of Polly facing their own struggles.
“Every day I get messages from people saying, ‘I’m battling depression or I’m battling cancer or just lost a loved one and I look at your feed every day and just seeing these little goats. If they can do it, I can do it’”, Lauricella said.
As quacky as it sounds, Polly is an inspiration!
